with metal coordination ability

                                   Abstract

   Phthalocyanine (Pc) is one of the functional dyes that is applied primarily for use in solar cells  and organic transistors. Usually, Pc has a metal-ion coordinating property that is active only at the center. However, we created external coordination sites, each of which consists of three nitrogen atoms in the heterocycle and the meso positions, in order to coordinate metal ions at the outside of Pc. In this research, we attempted to synthesize crosslinked Pcs (Pc1, Pc2). In these crosslinked Pcs, two Pc molecules are connected in a plane by crosslinking molecules (pyrazine or benzene), and new functions due to a more extended π conjugation can be expected. The formation of intermediate products of crosslinked Pcs was confirmed by a synthetic route via subphthalocyanine.
