Abstract

We investigated the effect of microbubble dispersion in a Watts-type Ni bath containing phosphorous acid on the chemical composition and crystal structure of Ni-P alloy electrodeposition.  The presence of microbubbles during electrodeposition was found to accelerate the co-deposition of phosphorus into deposits, resulting in the amorphization of the Ni-P deposit.
