In response to the increasing demand for renewable energy solutions and the need to foster energy literacy among younger generations, this study explores a hands-on educational workshop based on photonics-electronics convergence. Utilizing light-emitting diodes (LEDs) not only as emitters but also as energy-converting elements, we developed a simplified energy conversion circuit tailored for upper elementary and junior high school students. The workshop incorporated visual and auditory feedback mechanisms and integrated Scratch programming to enhance engagement. Evaluation based on post-event questionnaires indicated high levels of interest and understanding among participants, particularly regarding the concepts of energy transformation and renewable energy. The study demonstrates the potential of interactive learning environments in promoting scientific curiosity and the understanding of cutting-edge technologies in youth education.
